OREANDA-NEWS The Chinese company XPeng Aridge, which manufactures electric cars, has announced the start of trial production of Land  Carrier (LAC) flying cars at a factory in Guangzhou. This was reported by TASS with reference to local media.

The first vehicle has already rolled off the assembly line. Every year, the manufacturer plans to assemble up to 10,000 flying machines per year, but at the initial stage it intends to limit itself to two times less volume.

Mass production and deliveries of the models are planned for 2026. A full download will allow you to release such a machine every 30 minutes.

The car is an electric van with a flying module in the rear of the body, which is separated from the main body using a command from a smartphone. As explained by Wang Tan, vice president of XPeng Aeroht, the meaning of the design is that the owner can drive to some beautiful place, park, and then fly.

The device, which can be charged from a van, is capable of lifting two people into the air, and it can accommodate up to four people. The company's general manager of international communications, Tang Fengting, called it a "land-based aircraft carrier." The maximum range on a single charge is one thousand kilometers.

In September, it was reported that two flying modules of an Xpeng electric car collided in the air during a rehearsal of an air show in China. One of them was able to land safely, while the other caught fire.
