OREANDA-NEWS. Tbilisi could negotiate with Moscow in a format similar to the "Norman" one. Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili said this in an interview with Georgian Channel One. According to her, the authorities of the country could consider the possibility of holding negotiations in which Georgia would be represented together with international partners, since now it "has no strength to negotiate alone". Zurabishvili emphasized that “no one should refuse in an unequal situation”, then the negotiations will be effective. “We need this support”, she said.

“I would like to emphasize one more thing that is sometimes poorly understood in this country: neither dialogue nor negotiations mean concessions”, Zurabishvili added. She also noted that it's necessary to “look for any opportunity” to resolve the situation around relations between the two countries.

The meeting of the two ministers was held on September 26 on the sidelines of the 74th session of the UN General Assembly. They discussed, inter alia, the issue of air traffic between the two countries, which was suspended in July. The corresponding decree was signed by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
