OREANDA-NEWS The American entrepreneur Elon Musk will pursue legal action against OpenAI and its CEO Sam Altman, despite the company's decision to halt commercialization plans. This was announced by Musk's legal representative, Mark Toberoff, as reported by Reuters.
Toberoff made this statement a few hours after the company announced the cancellation of the planned restructuring. He emphasized that Musk intends to continue the "highly intriguing legal proceedings." Toberoff explained that the principle in this matter is supported by the fact that the company was established as a non-profit and should remain so.
The trial is scheduled to begin in March 2026.

In August 2024, Musk filed a new lawsuit against the company and its CEO, Sam Altman, accusing him of being a fraud. Musk believes that the company has abandoned the principles and goals it established when it was founded in 2015, shifting its focus away from security and openness for the betterment of humanity.
