OREANDA-NEWS Russian companies are considering the possibility of participating in the modernization of the port in the South African capital of Durban, but we can also talk about participating in projects in a number of other countries on the continent, Mikhail Margelov, Vice President of the Russian International Affairs Council, said in an interview with RIA Novosti on the eve of the third Russia-Africa summit.

"For a number of years, South Africa has been talking about the need to modernize one of its largest ports in Durban. And I know that a number of Russian companies are considering their participation in this project. South Africa and a number of other African countries, including Mauritius, are thinking about modernizing their airport structures, and Russia could also take an active part in this," Margelov said.
