OREANDA-NEWS  Sweden imposed sanctions against Estonia because of Russia. This is reported by the Telegram channel Shot.

Residents of an EU member state have been banned from paying for a visa to Russia through one of the largest Swedish banks, Swedbank. A few months ago, the organization accepted payments, but in March it imposed "unilateral sanctions" against Estonians. Currently, payment does not take place with Baltic cards, but it is possible to make a payment through banks in Poland, Germany, the Czech Republic and Hungary.

The Swedbank support explained the measure by the decision of the Estonian government, which allegedly prohibits its citizens from paying for Russian electronic visas. Swedbank support also claims that the recipient of the funds is allegedly located in Russia, which makes the payment suspicious.

Earlier, figure skater Mark Zheltyshev, representing the United States, was banned from entering the World Junior Championships in Estonia with a Russian passport. The 18-year-old Zheltyshev started playing for the USA this season. He competes in ice dancing with his partner Jane Calhoun.
