OREANDA-NEWS Eighteen French winemakers have arrived in Moscow, thereby confirming their desire to continue cooperation with Russia, Director General of the Franco-Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (France Russie) told RIA Novosti Pavel Shinsky.

"Such a number of professionals - 18 winemakers from France - came to Russia for the first time in the last year. By doing so... They have once again confirmed their desire to continue cooperation with Russia," Shinsky said on the sidelines of the French Autumn salon of French wines, organized by CCI France Russie, which opened in Moscow on October 16. According to him, among those who came to Moscow, there are those who have never been to the Russian Federation, and those who already work in the Russian market, but want to refresh their contacts and present new products.

"In addition to the economic component, the salon has an important symbolic meaning. He proves that if we work in accordance with European legislation and do not violate anything, Russia remains an absolutely desirable and natural trade and economic partner of French business. Wine is communication, it is wine diplomacy," concluded Shinsky. "Our chateau produces 200 thousand bottles a year. We supply it all over the world. The existing logistics allows us to start importing wine to Russia," Denis Shazaran, manager of one of the Bordeaux chateaux, told the agency.
