OREANDA-NEWS Russia ranks second in the ranking of countries in terms of their military power. This is reported by Business Insider with reference to the Global Firepower rating.
"With a score of 0.0788 in the PowerIndex, Russia ranks second in the ranking of the most powerful armies in the world. In addition to its conventional combat power, Russia also has a huge nuclear potential, which was not taken into account in the Global Firepower rating," the publication says.
According to the publication, Russia ranks first in some types of vehicles and weapons, as well as in the number of mine warfare equipment. It also ranks first in terms of national gas reserves.
In October, Russian presidential aide Nikolai Patrushev called the Russian army the strongest in the world.
