OREANDA-NEWS   Relations between Russia and Hungary will remain on condition that the new authorities of the country continue the course of outgoing Prime Minister Viktor Orban. This was stated by the deputy head of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Alexander Grushko, according to Vesti.

"If Hungary continues Orban's line in energy cooperation, upholding the rights of national minorities, if Hungary continues to refrain from supplying weapons [to Ukraine], if it does not finance the Kiev regime, then the basis for building relations remains. We will proceed from this," the diplomat stressed.

On April 22, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that a dialogue between Moscow and Budapest would be possible only with Hungary's pragmatic position.

On April 13, the future Prime Minister of the European Republic, Peter Magyar, noted that he did not want to represent Ukraine's interests in a dialogue with Russia. According to him, "no one wants a pro-Ukrainian government in Hungary, everyone wants a pro-Hungarian one."
