"The lunar rover explorer will travel through an already selected area defined on the Moon, which is the most interesting from the point of view of creating a lunar base. He will drive there and explore the ground," said the head.
In September, Lev Zeleny, scientific director of the Space Research Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS), told Rossiya 24 TV channel that Russia plans to launch seven spacecraft to the Moon by 2036.
In May, the president of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Gennady Krasnikov, announced that the Russian lunar program would begin to be funded in 2025.
