The United States will reduce funding for its army in Europe by 15 times

OREANDA-NEWS The US Department of War wants to reduce funding for the combat readiness of American troops in Europe in 2026 by almost 15 times compared with the budget of 2023.
This is reported by RIA Novosti. According to the agency, according to documents from the European segment of the Army Prepositioned Stocks-2 (APS-2) program, which provides American pre-deployment warehouses, funding for its implementation has been declining for the past 4 years.
In particular, in 2023, the United States allocated $ 495 million for the program, in 2024 it was almost twice as much — $ 251.7 million. In 2025, the budget was 116.9 million dollars, and in 2026 — only 33.4 million dollars.
