OREANDA-NEWS Two tankers carrying liquefied natural gas collided in the Suez Canal, according to the Marine Traffic vessel tracking service on the social network X (formerly Twitter).

"Marine Traffic received an eyewitness report in the Suez Canal that two tankers collided," the report said.

It is clarified that the incident occurred with Burri sea vessels from the Cayman Islands, as well as BW Lesmes, which was flying the flag of Singapore.

In addition, the service showed how the collision of tankers occurred, as well as further actions of tugboats that helped unblock the Suez Canal.

Earlier it became known that two tankers collided on the Lena River in the Irkutsk region. As a result, a container with 138 tons of gasoline that got into the water was damaged in one of the vessels.
