OREANDA-NEWS Despite the fact that Western sanctions have a certain impact on trade between Russia and China, the parties have managed to build stable mechanisms for bilateral settlements, Russian Ambassador to China Igor Morgulov said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

"Unfortunately, a certain influence of Western sanctions remains. However, I want to emphasize that they have not stopped the mutually beneficial development of Russian-Chinese trade," the diplomat said, speaking about Russian-Chinese trade and economic cooperation.

According to Morgulov, thanks to coordination at the government and business levels of Russia and China, "we have managed to build effective channels of interaction, establish new production and logistics chains, and establish stable mechanisms for bilateral settlements, which today are almost entirely carried out in rubles and yuan."
