Vnesheconombank and the Russian Academy of Science Sign a Memorandum of Cooperation
OREANDA-NEWS. The Federal Government Budgetary Institution Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS) and State Corporation «Bank for Development and Foreign Economic Affairs (Vnesheconombank)» signed a memorandum of cooperation in the sphere of expert activities. The respective memorandum was signed by RAS Acting President Valeriy Kozlov and Chairman of Vnesheconombank Sergey Gorkov.
The document involves the delivery of analytical and expert support for Vnesheconombank's operations, including assistance with the expert examination of the Bank's projects, bringing in the leading scientists from among the RAS expert network.
«The memorandum signed with Vnesheconombank means the strengthening of our many years of cooperation with a goal of realizing the innovative policy pursued by the government through the development of science, education and high-tech. The memorandum also covers analytical and expert support of Vnesheconombank’s business through the RAS-based expert panel comprising 7 thousand scientists, external academic advisers, members of the RAS expert councils and commissions from the Registry of the RAS experts,» noted Kozlov.
«Vnesheconombank pays special attention to the support of innovative projects as one of the priority areas in our Strategy. Our sphere of interest comprises innovative developments and technologies that may further Russia’s technological advance. Such developments usually involve leading scientists and require in-depth expert examination. Moreover, I am sure that close cooperation between VEB and the RAS will promote the development of new, advanced technologies and their subsequent commercialization and will have a positive effect on the innovation process in Russia in general,» added Sergey Gorkov.
