OREANDA-NEWS  About 1 billion rubles were allocated for the organization of free trips for children in Russia as part of the social order in 2023, the contribution of tourism to the regional domestic product (RVP) increased from 0.1% to 5%. This is reported on the website of the Ministry of Finance of Russia.

"About 1 billion rubles were allocated from the federal budget in 2023 to organize trips around Russia for children, and the contribution of tourism to the regional domestic product (RVP) increased from 0.1% to 5%. For example, in the Republic of Karelia, the RVP increased by 5.33%, in the Saratov Region and Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug - by 0.1%," the message says.

It is also noted that within the framework of the social order, 200 thousand schoolchildren were able to go on free trips around Russia in 2023. "200 thousand schoolchildren of grades 5-9 from 28 regions went on trips to Russia this year, using a social certificate as part of the implementation of the social order. The certificate gave young travelers and their parents the opportunity to independently choose a free travel program and a tour operator, and the tourism industry to develop in the "low season," the message says.

As the Ministry of Finance recalled, the social order mechanism has been in place since 2020, and in 2022 tourism was included in its scope of application. This became possible thanks to the Federal project "Increasing the availability of tourist products".
