OREANDA-NEWS. While three-fifths of Singapore’s Real Estate Investment Trust (REITs) and Stapled Trusts pay unitholders quarterly dividends, stocks that distribute quarterly dividends do not represent a large part of the region’s stock market.

Across the exchanges of South East Asia there are more than 4000 primary listed stocks with a current combined market capitalisation of S$2.8 trillion. When narrowing the field to those stocks with a recent history  of paying dividends on a quarterly basis, the number of stocks is reduced to 131, representing just 7% of the regional market capitalisation.

Note that these stocks do not necessarily have a formal dividend policy of paying quarterly dividends. Also note that this is not necessarily an exclusive list as some companies or trusts may have recently established a quarterly distribution cycle however are yet to make four quarterly distributions.

The average indicative dividend yield of all of these regional stocks that have recently paid quarterly dividends is 5.2%. Among the 131 quarterly distributing stocks, the 30 stocks with the highest indicative yield are tabled below (and sort by highest indicative dividend yield). Of these 30 stocks, 17 are listed in Singapore.
