OREANDA-NEWS  Russian Deputy Prime Minister Andrei Belousov said that the introduction of the digital ruble may be completed this year and the authorities are already resolving the issue of conducting transactions on traditional platforms. This is reported by RIA Novosti.

Belousov described the situation with this direction in the economic sector during a meeting with members of the government, which was held on Wednesday, March 29.

"It is planned to create regulatory, technical and organizational conditions for the introduction of the digital ruble. This work has reached the final stage..." Belousov stressed.

According to Belousov, the work on creating a digital ruble is already at the final stage.

Belousov also drew attention to the fact that it is necessary to provide for the possibility of performing transactions with digital currencies in the traditional financial infrastructure on the stock exchange.

There is no exact deadline for the development of the digital ruble yet.

The Russian Deputy Prime Minister does not give other details.

Earlier it became known that the State Duma adopted a package of bills on the digital ruble in the first reading.

Also, Deputy Mikhail Delyagin advised not to expect revolutionary changes in life from the digital ruble.
