OREANDA-NEWS   In the first nine months of 2022, Russian large and medium-sized enterprises increased their commercial and management expenses not directly related to the production process by 2.1 trillion rubles and reached a record 18.9 trillion. Such calculations were made by experts of the audit and consulting network FinExpertiza.

Average costs in terms of each enterprise increased by 9.7 percent, amounting to 328.5 million rubles. Among the regions, the largest increase in expenses occurred at enterprises in Moscow, Moscow region, St. Petersburg, Kemerovo Region, Krasnodar Territory, Sverdlovsk Region, Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug, Tatarstan, Krasnoyarsk Territory and Novosibirsk Region. As explained by the head of FinExpertiza Elena Trubnikova, the growth of costs was influenced by inflationary processes, instability of demand, as well as the growth of production and logistics costs. "Nevertheless, compared to the previous year, the growth of spending on commerce and general economic needs has slowed down. So, in 2021, during the post-pandemic economic recovery, the corresponding spending increased by 18.4% at once. Now, in the face of uncertainty, businesses are trying to save money wherever possible," she commented.
