OREANDA-NEWS   German Gref in an interview with the magazine "Stimulus" called the main problem of the Russian economy. Gref is the President and Chairman of the Management Board of Sberbank.

Answering a journalist's question about the main problems in the development of innovation in Russia, Gref said that they "arise where and when there is demand for them," however, he pointed out that the main problem is "the lack of demand for innovation."

"We have an insufficient level of competition, there are not enough industries that are in conditions of global competition, and, accordingly, we have a low demand for innovation. Now he is growing up, but, unfortunately, not at the pace that we would like to see," Gref said, pointing out that this problem "has always been and remains to this day."

In addition, he stressed that Russia needs to create the necessary infrastructure and form a proposal. "We have problems at all three stages, but the key is demand," Gref concluded.

Earlier, German Gref said that Russia is waiting for a dramatic increase in the influence that artificial intelligence (AI) will have on modern life. According to him, in Russia there is a foundation for the mass introduction of AI in industries.
