OREANDA-NEWS  Private houses in Russia have become more popular than apartments. The fact that housing in apartment buildings has been replaced.

According to the forecast, by the end of 2022, the area of commissioned individual residential buildings will amount to 60 million square meters — this is one and a half times more than the volume of commissioning of apartment buildings. The share of private houses introduced will account for 62 percent against 38 percent of apartment buildings. In 2021, the ratio was 54 percent versus 46 percent.

According to the All-Russian Center for the Study of Public Opinion, 40 percent of families planning to change their living conditions in the next five years are thinking about buying or building a private house. In 10 months of 2022, 10 percent more individual housing has already been commissioned than in the whole of 2021, when the volume of private construction exceeded multi-apartment for the first time.

Earlier in November, it was reported that since the beginning of the year, private houses with a total area of 750 thousand square meters have been built and put into operation in New Moscow. The indicator turned out to be 55 thousand "squares" more than in the whole of 2021. The growth in the construction of such housing is associated with the development of mortgages in the segment, the benefits of purchasing a private house and the transition to remote operation.
