OREANDA-NEWS  Ozon's net loss under IFRS in 2024 increased by 39% to 59.4 billion rubles, adjusted EBITDA increased more than 6 times to 40.1 billion rubles; in 2025, the company expects turnover growth of 30-40% year-on-year with adjusted EBITDA at 70-90 billion rubles, the report says.

"Ozon Holdings PLC announces unaudited financial results for the fourth quarter and full year 2024. ... Adjusted EBITDA for the year is positive both in the e-commerce business and in the fintech segment, reaching a record 40.1 billion rubles. By the end of 2025, the company expects turnover growth of 30-40% year-on-year, with adjusted EBITDA at 70-90 billion rubles," the report says.

The table below clarifies that EBITDA growth was 526% year-on-year. The net loss, in turn, amounted to 59.442 billion rubles against a loss of 42.665 billion rubles in 2023.

The company's turnover (GMV), including services, increased by 64% in 2024, to 2.875 trillion rubles. The group's revenue in 2024 increased by 45%, to 615.7 billion rubles. As noted in the report, revenue growth was influenced by a significant increase in revenue from services and interest income. Gross profit for the year increased by more than 2 times and amounted to 99.9 billion rubles.

In the fourth quarter, the net loss amounted to 17.6 billion rubles against a loss of 18.2 billion for the same period in 2023. The group's revenue increased by 69% year-on-year to 216.6 billion rubles, while gross profit increased 2.6 times to 35.7 billion rubles.

"The growth (of turnover - ed.) was ensured by the results of entrepreneurs: their turnover on Ozon increased by 69% in 2024, and the share in the turnover of the marketplace reached 85.4%. The number of active sellers has grown to 600,000, of which more than 80% live in the regions of Russia," the report says.
