OREANDA-NEWS  The minimum price for cigarettes from the beginning of next year will be 135 rubles per pack, Deputy Director of the Food Industry Department of the Ministry of Agriculture Irina Fedina said at the interregional forum "Days of Retail in Siberia".

"Starting from January 1, 2025, minimum prices for tobacco nicotine-containing products will be indexed. Next year, the Ministry of Agriculture will set a single minimum price for tobacco products in the amount of 135 rubles," she said.

According to the official, the increase will be 4.5 percent for nicotine-containing products with heated tobacco on a stick to 22 rubles, and the prices of vaping liquids will be indexed by five percent.

In July, the State Duma passed a law providing for an annual indexation of excise taxes on tobacco products by four percent in the next three years.

Thus, the excise tax on tobacco intended for consumption by heating in 2025 will amount to 9,807 rubles per kilogram, in 2026 — 10,199 rubles, in 2027 — 10,607 rubles; and on liquids for electronic nicotine delivery systems — 44, 46 and 48 rubles per milligram, respectively.
