OREANDA-NEWS.  Inflation in Russia accelerated in October to 1.11% on a monthly basis, and to 8.13% on an annual basis, Rosstat reported on Wednesday. In September, this figure was 7.4%.

Thus, the annual inflation in Russia on the first of November was 8.14%. "In October 2021, compared with September 2021, the consumer price index amounted to 101.11%, compared with December 2020 - 106.49% (in October 2020 - 100.43%, compared with December 2019 - 103.32%)," the report says.

According to Rosstat, in October, consumer prices increased by 1.2% or more in 49 subjects of the Russian Federation. To the greatest extent — in the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania (by 2.1%) due to the rise in price of food by 4.1%. In Moscow, prices for the month increased by 0.7%, in St. Petersburg - by 1.2% (since the beginning of the year — the price increase was 5.3% and 6.4%, respectively).
