According to the lawyer, compensation of this size will not be collected from the artist, since there is no such practice in Russia. The specialist suggested that the claim would be denied due to strained grounds. According to him, the plaintiff was not mentioned in the interview with Pugacheva, which means that his dignity was not specifically discredited by the statements of the Prima Donna.

"In the most extreme case, there will be compensation of several tens of thousands of rubles, not even hundreds. This is an ideal case for the plaintiff," Zhorin believes.

Lawyer and combat veteran Alexander Treshchev filed a lawsuit against Alla Pugacheva after her interview with the Tell Gordeeva project (the author of the channel, Katerina Gordeeva, was recognized by the Ministry of Justice as a foreign agent). The singer was demanded to collect 1.5 billion rubles for praising the president of the self-proclaimed Chechen Republic of Ichkeria (CRI; a terrorist organization banned in Russia) Dzhokhar Dudayev. In his statement, the plaintiff also indicated that the artist had made statements defaming the president, the army and law enforcement agencies of Russia.
