OREANDA-NEWS The median salary in Russia in April 2025 amounted to 73.9 thousand rubles, having increased 1.4 times in two years, according to an analysis by RIA Novosti of Rosstat data.

The median salary is characterized by the fact that half of the employees have a salary above this level, while the other half have a lower salary.

So, in April 2025, the median salary in the country was 73,871 rubles, compared to 52,558 rubles two years earlier.

The highest median salary in Russia in the tobacco industry is 155.4 thousand rubles. It is slightly less for employees of extraterritorial organizations and bodies - 135.2 thousand rubles. The top five also includes employees in the mining sector (127.6 thousand rubles), the field of information and communications (125.6 thousand) and financial and insurance companies (118.3 thousand).

The lowest median salary is in the fields of education (50.5 thousand rubles), culture, sports, leisure and entertainment (51.9 thousand), healthcare and social services (56.1 thousand).

A survey on the distribution of the number of employees by salary is conducted every two years by the end of April. The current study was conducted among 95.4 thousand organizations, excluding small businesses. The number of employees in the study was 28.4 million.
