OREANDA-NEWS  On average, a Russian needs 195 thousand rubles a month to feel happy. The results of the survey are reported by the job search service SuperJob.

Residents of the capital have the highest income expectations — they need 260 thousand rubles for happiness. The top three also included St. Petersburg (230 thousand rubles) and Vladivostok (220 thousand rubles). The study also showed that men's requests are almost 30 percent higher than women's (220 thousand versus 170 thousand rubles). At the same time, young people under 24 years of age require significantly less money than citizens over 35 years of age — 130 thousand rubles and 225 thousand rubles, respectively. Analysts also found a connection with the current level of earnings — the higher it is, the higher the desired income.

The amount required by the average citizen for six months fell by five percent (in October 2022, the amount of 205 thousand rubles was called). The appetites of Muscovites, on the contrary, have grown by 10 thousand rubles over the same period. Experts noted that the monthly amount of income required for residents of Russia has been constantly growing since 2015. If in 2018 Russians needed 159 thousand rubles a month for happiness, then in 2021 this amount increased to 166 thousand rubles, and in October 2022 it jumped to a record 205 thousand rubles.

In total, 23 thousand respondents over the age of 18 from 508 localities of Russia took part in the SuperJob survey.

Earlier, another study by the company showed that almost a third of Russians (32 percent) make savings for a rainy day and in case of loss of all sources of income. Analysts have noticed that women are more likely to think about the airbag, while men are more likely to think about investing in securities.
