OREANDA-NEWS In the third and final reading, the State Duma adopted amendments to legislation changing the procedure for holding motorists accountable for the absence of an insurance policy. According to the new regulations, a fine for driving without CTP will be imposed no more than once a day, RIA Novosti writes. In this case, the method of determining the violation does not matter.

Previously, a motorist could receive several fines per day if his car was recorded by traffic cameras. Initially, the bill was developed precisely in order to eliminate the practice of multiple fines from cameras per day. The final version of the law states that within 24 hours from the moment of the first offense related to driving without a valid CTP policy, the driver can be held accountable only once.

Currently, the fine for this violation is 800 rubles. In case of repeated disregard of the rules — from 3 to 5 thousand rubles.

Earlier, Muscovites and guests of the capital were offered alternative ways to pay for Moscow parking. It is enough to use the SMS function on the phone or a regular call to a short number.
