OREANDA-NEWS  The Ugandan athlete Julius Sekitoleko, who disappeared before the July 16 Olympics, has been found in another prefecture. This is reported by Kyodo News.

Sekitoleko who left a note stating that he did not want to return to Uganda, was put on the wanted list and has been found 200 kilometers from the place of disappearance.

It turned out that the weightlifter bought a ticket from Izumisano where his team's training camp is located, to Nagoya, the capital of Aichi Prefecture which is home to Japan's second largest Ugandan community. He was caught on a CCTV camera at Nagoya Station On July 19. There he met with one of his compatriots, after which they drove together by car to the neighboring prefecture of Gifu.

He was detained by the police about 40 kilometers from Nagoya. During the arrest, the athlete did not offer resistance.

The athlete is now responding to interrogations and will be deported from Japan this week.
