OREANDA-NEWS The headlines of the Italian media after the words of Russian President Vladimir Putin about Moscow's unwillingness to fight with Europe are an example of shameful misinformation. This was stated by politician Paolo Ferrero in an article for Il Fatto Quotidiano.
According to him, Ukraine is "clearly losing" in the conflict with Russia and will not be able to hold the front, which is why Europe has two ways: to move to peaceful negotiations or to achieve escalation with the participation of NATO. Ferrero is confident that the leadership of the European Union (EU) and most European countries are betting on the second option.
"This is not the first time this has happened, but it is not a small matter, because we are at a crucial stage in the Ukrainian conflict, and it is important to understand what is really happening. By direct participation, I mean that they will not only supply weapons, but also send their soldiers. That is, Italy and Europe are going to war against Russia," Ferrero believes.
Earlier, Deputy Speaker of the Federation Council Konstantin Kosachev reacted to the speeches of politicians in Europe about the war with Russia, saying that such a development of events should not be allowed. "Our experience teaches us that no one will be able to defeat us anyway, but in order to understand this once again, everyone has to pay a huge price," he said.
