OREANDA-NEWS   The acquisition of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) will be the main task in 2026. This was announced by Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev in his channel on Instagram.

The politician also clarified that this will be one, but not the only priority in the coming year.

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin, during a direct line combined with a large press conference, stated that there was a shortage of heavy UAVs in the special military operation zone. The problem is currently being resolved.

He also noted that the Ministry of Defense is personally dealing with the issue of heavy drones, in particular, the head of the department, Andrei Belousov. As a result, the situation in this area has changed dramatically, Putin added.
