OREANDA-NEWS The Ministry of Industry of Belarus and the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia are developing a mechanism for implementing the agreement on a common industrial policy, said the Minister of Industry of the Republic Alexander Rogozhnikov.

"The Ministry of Industry of Belarus and the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia are developing a mechanism for the implementation of two intergovernmental agreements strategically important for the industry of the Union State on the recognition of technological operations and on the implementation of a unified industrial policy," the press service of the Ministry quotes Rogozhnik on the agency's website. The implementation of the documents is carried out through the interaction of the relevant working groups created by the parties, Rogozhnik noted. According to him, the main purpose of these agreements is to ensure the coordinated work of the industries of the two countries. "Joint cooperation within the framework of the signed agreements provides, first of all, for the maximum involvement of industrial enterprises of the Union member states in the cooperative process in order to increase import independence and ensure the technological sovereignty of the Union State, in developing effective mechanisms for financing and implementing such cooperative projects, their support from states, as well as in the development of scientific and technical cooperation", - the message says.

It is emphasized that "the implementation of the agreements is aimed at creating a single industrial space and combining the material and intellectual potentials of industrial enterprises." "Today this is especially relevant in the current conditions, when sanctions measures are applied to the two countries by unfriendly countries and there are refusals from foreign suppliers of technologies and components," the report says, citing the words of the minister.
It is noted that the cooperation of industrial enterprises of the Union State in the field of cooperation has a long-term character, especially in the field of mechanical engineering. "At the same time, the potential of this area and the existing competencies are far from being exhausted. It provides for further effective development and creation of mutually beneficial cooperative ties and a competitive non-discriminatory environment in the markets of industrial products of the two countries," the statement reads.
