OREANDA-NEWS. The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine at a meeting on Wednesday, February 17, made a decision on the country's withdrawal from the CIS agreement on the coordination of interstate relations in the field of postal and electrical communications. The meeting where this decision was taken, was broadcast on the government channel on YouTube.

The adopted resolution says: "Withdraw from the agreement on the coordination of interstate relations in the field of postal and electrical communications, concluded on October 9, 1992 in Bishkek."

In this agreement, the parties agreed to coordinate their actions in the provision of communication services, harmonization of the development of networks and communication facilities, development of concepts for scientific, technical and tariff policy, training and work of educational institutions of communication, protection of the common interests of states in international communication organizations and their organs.

Earlier, Ukraine unilaterally terminated a number of agreements and treaties with Russia and the CIS. On April 1, 2019, the treaty on friendship, cooperation and partnership between Russia and Ukraine terminated.
