OREANDA-NEWS  President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on the suspension by Russia of certain provisions of agreements on avoidance of double taxation (SIDN) with 38 states, including the USA, Canada, most European countries (Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Poland, Bulgaria, Ireland, Finland and Cyprus), as well as Australia, Great Britain and Japan. All these countries are included in the list of unfriendly. The document was posted on the portal of legal acts on August 8, it entered into force from the date of publication.

Previously, Russia had tax agreements with 82 countries (not counting the Netherlands, Ukraine and Latvia, with which the agreement was denounced, terminated and suspended, respectively).

By his decree, Putin also instructed to take measures to reduce the impact on the Russian economy of the consequences of the suspension of agreements. RBC sent requests to the Ministry of Finance and the Federal Tax Service.
