OREANDA-NEWS   Chinese cargo carriers are increasing their presence in the Russian market and trying to capture it using unequal conditions. About this was told by Vadim Filatov, President of the Avtogruzex Association, Chairman of the Delovaya Rossiya Transport Logistics Committee.

According to him, dozens of new players from China have entered Russian roads over the past six months. They have already taken over most of the international shipping orders between the two countries, and the gap is likely to continue to grow.

Companies from China have the opportunity to offer customers rates 30-35 percent lower than Russian carriers can afford. The fact is that leasing rates for them are 3-5 percent versus 20-21 percent in Russia, and the cost of a tractor in China is 20-25 percent lower.

In addition, Filatov explained, foreign carriers often do not pay fines for traffic violations, do not transfer funds to the Platon system and ignore weight and size control. Most often, it is Chinese companies that commit violations, especially those that work informally. The legislation theoretically prohibits the departure of the violator from Russia, but before that he needs to send an official notification, but it does not reach the addressee.
