OREANDA-NEWS The Russian authorities are discussing the issue of allocating more than 650 billion rubles from the main Russian "pot" — the National Welfare Fund (NWF) — to support the aviation industry. Interfax found out about this.

About 410 billion of this amount will be spent on a long-term program to upgrade the fleet of aircraft and helicopters, and the remaining 240 billion can be spent on expanding the production of civil aircraft, engines and assemblies for the entire industry as a whole. At the same time, the source did not specify which production programs, when and through what mechanism it is supposed to allocate funds from the NWF.

At the end of June, the government approved a program for the development of the aviation industry until 2030 — according to the document, more than 770 billion rubles should be allocated for the implementation of the initiative. The funds are intended to subsidize domestic flights and support the aircraft industry.

In addition, about 42 billion rubles have already been allocated from the "cup" for the Tu-214. At the same time, a total of 83 billion rubles are required for the production of aircraft: the remaining part of the funds can be raised through Rostec bond loans, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin noted earlier.
