In December, India will host two exhibitions of the National Artist of Russia Nikas Safronov, organized with the support of Rosneft. About 100 paintings will be presented in New Delhi and Mumbai, some of which are painted in the artist's signature style of Dream Vision, and Nikas created ten specifically for India, Vedomosti reports.

OREANDA-NEWS "I am preparing 96 paintings for the exhibition. I write every day. I didn't sleep today [on the eve of the interview] — I worked in the workshop until late in the morning. And then I couldn't sleep—I'm probably more nervous than usual. Expectations from the upcoming exhibition in India are high. I hope it will be a success. The first one will be in New Delhi from December 7 to December 21, and then in Mumbai from December 25 to January 15. If Delhi is a financial and business city, then Mumbai is a creative one. So, I hope different audiences will see my work," the artist said in an interview with Vedomosti.

He expressed hope that the exhibition would be successful and that various guests would come to it — ordinary residents of these cities, creative intellectuals, schoolchildren, and business people. "We will hold meetings there, master classes, and communicate with students," Nikas Safronov added.

"When I prepare for exhibitions in other countries, I take into account, of course, everything: history, culture, painting, epic. In this case, I studied images of Shiva, Brahma, the Taj Mahal, Varanasi, nature, architecture, and some iconic places. To immerse myself in the atmosphere, I carefully examined Roerich's paintings in order to once again look through his eyes at India and Tibet. I was there once as a tourist in these mountains," he said.

Nikas Safronov thanked Rosneft for its support of the project. "I would like to emphasize that this became possible thanks to Rosneft, which supported this project. The company finances many cultural initiatives, creating an important link between the world and Russia. After all, it is culture that unites people best, because it speaks a language that everyone understands – the language of positive emotions. And I am glad that I was able to become a part of these significant and kind initiatives of Rosneft," he stressed.
