OREANDA-NEWS. It is planned that this year Krivoy Rog Mining and Metallurgical Works (KGMK) OJSC “Mittal Steel Krivoy Rog” (former “Krivorozhstal”, Dnepropetrovsk region) will increase volume of sales of metal rolling by 16 % - up to 7,1 million tons in comparison with the last year, and the turnover of the company will make approximately $3 billion.

According to Interfax-Ukraine, director on foreign trade activities, marketing and sales of OJSC “Mittal Steel Krivoy Rog” Andrey Kititsa declared about it at the Second International Conference "Metal Trade of the East Europe Countries” held in Moscow on Thursday organized by the Russian Union of Metal and Steel Suppliers (RUMSS) and the Ukrainian Metal Traders Association (UMTA).

According to him, for 10 months of 2006 the volume of sales has made 5,86 million tons, whereas for all 2005 - 6,12 million tons. In 2007 the volume of sales is planned at the rate of 7,2 million tons.

Kititsa also noted that strategy of sales of OJSC “Mittal Steel Krivoy Rog” assumes priority of realizations of metal products in the home market of Ukraine, then deliveries to the CIS countries and on the third place - the East Europe and EU countries. At the same time the metal works was practically monthly increased volumes of realization of metal products in 2006, having reached 160 thousand tons in October.

Director on foreign trade activities, marketing and sales has informed that OJSC “Mittal Steel Krivoy Rog” for 10 months of 2006 realized 1 million 211,337 thousand tons of metal rolling to 519 consumers in Ukraine. At the same time, 143 Dnepropetrovsk companies were delivered 500,558 thousand tons of metal rolling, 85 Kiev companies - 252,014 thousand tons, 60 Donetsk companies - 146,406 thousand tons, 28 Odessa companies - 74,879 thousand tons, 27 Zaporozhye companies - 66,816 thousand tons, 24 Kharkov companies - 28,580 thousand tons, and 28 Crimean companies - 23,049 thousand tons.

In January-October, the metal works sold production to the CIS countries, in particular, to Russia - 38,65 % of all volume, to Azerbaijan - 19,92 %, Georgia - 13,04 %, Armenia - 8,13 %, Moldova - 7,71 %, Belarus - 7,12 %, Kazakhstan - 2,95 %, Turkmenistan - 1,71 %, Kyrgyzstan - 0,35 %, Tajikistan - 0,31 %, Uzbekistan - 0,11 %.

The basic deliveries for 10 months of 2006 have fallen at armature (526,864 thousand tons), then rod (47,690 thousand tons), angles (34,620 thousand tons) and profiled iron (10,304 thousand tons). At the same time, for 10 months of 2005 deliveries of armature have made 217,721 thousand tons, rod - 31,883 thousand tons, angle - 20,849 thousand tons and profiled iron - 10,383 thousand tons.
