OREANDA-NEWS. June 20, 2016. A case study written under the Management of Technological Innovations programme, jointly implemented by the SKOLKOVO Business School and Rosatom State Nuclear Energy Corporation, has received a silver medal in the Organisational Learning and Development category of Excellence in Practice Awards 2016, a prestigious international competition run by EFMD.

Marina Karban, Director for Corporate Programmes at the SKOLKOVO Business School, comments: "The EFMD award is a proof that our corporate programmes are internationally recognised for their high quality. The award was received for the corporate programme that involved hard project work, which we developed and implemented jointly with the Block for Innovation Management of Rosatom State Corporation for several years. Nearly 150 managers of the state corporation received training in the three years of the programme. Our task was to develop an educational programme that would not only help to build a team of managers, but also result in the creation of projects aimed at technological and organisational change. Three classes have completed the course of the educational programme, and now we, together with our colleagues from Rosatom, are happy to observe the implementation of the projects which were discussed at the SKOLKOVO Campus just a couple of years ago."

Rosatom's Management of Technological Innovations Programme, designed to develop managers' skills, is a comprehensive educational product realised by the Moscow School of Management SKOLKOVO. The programme was conducted in three streams from 2012 to 2015; it combined work on real projects in the field of technological innovation, lectures by leading professors, presentations made by Rosatom top managers and industry experts, foreign internships, team building and social activities. 146 Rosatom employees representing all divisions of the company participated in the programme. More than 70 key executives and experts of the corporation, professors of the world's leading business schools, expert practitioners in the field of innovation and nuclear power, as well as outstanding scholars and scientists shared their experience and knowledge with the programme participants.

Nikolay Verkhovsky, Head of Project Work for Corporate Programmes, says: "During the programme, we created, specifically for Rosatom, the technology for developing high-tech projects with a business component. We focused on the three main areas: organisational and management project, projects to create new products, and projects to develop Rosatom's existing enterprises. As a result of the programme, 22 projects were implemented in the areas of technology and management, most of which were further developed in the framework of the state corporation. A number of the projects have already received business grants, and the rest are currently being worked on and will be implemented in the next year or two."
