OREANDA-NEWS. Teachers ' salaries in Russia may increase if the relevant decision is taken at the level of the government.  According to the Minister of Education, Olga Vasilyeva, teachers should have a rate of 70% of the average salary in the region.  The remaining 30% of the teacher’s salary should consist of payments for classroom management, extra lessons and other extracurricular work.

The minister compared the current situation with the burden on teachers to what was three years ago.

 - In 2016, the average workload for teachers in Russia was 1.3 rates or 23.4 hours per week.  By the end of last year, the rate rose to 1.38 - almost 25 hours a week, Vasilyeva said, and noted that in some regions of the country the workload reaches 1.78 rates per specialist.

As an example, to which one should strive, she brought Mordovia with the most comfortable level of workload - 1.1 bets on a teacher.

Earlier, Olga Vasilyeva announced a reduction in the number of reports of teachers in order to reduce the burden on teachers.  She stated that only four documents will remain for teachers in the school: an electronic diary, an electronic journal, a work program for subjects and regular-thematic planning.
