OREANDA-NEWS  Engineers of the Russian design bureau MiS (a participant in the Aeronet NTI market) have launched a multi-rotor unmanned aerial vehicle, which is equipped with a unique system for returning to the launch point in case of complete loss of communication between it and the operator in the conditions of operation of electronic warfare complexes, the Design Bureau told RIA Novosti.

"The device uses the Guide system developed by us, which ensures the return of the drone to the point of departure in case of complete loss of communication between it and the operator. It works according to the principles of inertial navigation, without using GPS. This system is designed to significantly increase the performance of drones in electronic warfare. The "guide" takes the drone out of the EW area until the operator restores communication," the MIS Design Bureau said.

It is noted that the MiS-35 UAV is designed according to the hexacopter scheme (six propeller-driven units) with a folding system for transportation.

"It has a payload capacity of up to 4.5 kilograms, a maximum flight speed of 63 kilometers per hour, and a maximum flight time with a load of 32 minutes. The drone is equipped with a cargo drop system, an analog camera with a six-fold zoom, an interference-proof communication channel, and a thermal imager can also be installed on it," the bureau added.

Such a device will cost from 460 thousand rubles.
