OREANDA-NEWS The International Space Station (ISS) is planned to be in operation at least until 2028. The relevant deadline was confirmed by Dmitry Bakanov, CEO of the Roscosmos State Corporation. This is reported by TASS.

"The ISS will last at least until 2028. And then we will decide with us together, because the modules [of the station] are Russian and American," said the head during the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF-2025).

Earlier, Russian First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov said that the robots' task would be to help astronauts maintain the promising Russian Orbital Station (ROS).

In April, NASA astronaut Donald Pettit, who returned to Earth on the Soyuz MS-26 spacecraft, announced that the ISS would be able to operate after 2030, when NASA officially planned its decommissioning.
