Rosneft scientists have developed a digital service for monitoring oil production

OREANDA-NEWS Specialists from Bashneft and the Rosneft Scientific Institute in Ufa have developed and patented a "virtual flow meter", a new digital service for production control. The innovation makes it possible to compare the actual productivity of wells with their potential in real time and quickly determine where to increase production.
The new digital service automatically exchanges data with the PH‑VEGA corporate software package. Using machine learning technologies, the system calculates oil inflow figures in an average of just 10 seconds per well.
The company noted that the trial operation has confirmed the high reliability and accuracy of the tool. Currently, he helps specialists make operational decisions to optimize production at one of Bashneft's fields.
In the future, it is planned to combine the new service with the integrated digital oilfield management system RN-Predix.Saturn" and implement it at other Rosneft production facilities.
