Technology companies have signed an agreement on cooperation in the field of AI

OREANDA-NEWS The companies Basalt SPO, Hightech and Norsi-Trans signed a trilateral cooperation agreement on the development of AI technologies, the document was signed at the 28th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum 2025, the press service of Basalt SPO reports.
The purpose of the partnership is the joint development of a software and hardware complex for working with artificial intelligence. The solution includes Alt operating systems for servers and workstations, localized Norsi-Trans equipment powered by Loongson processors and LinQ AI accelerators (LinK) based on Russian tensor processors from the Hightech company.
"Our strategic partnership is aimed at providing energy efficient and secure systems based on the Russian stack using AI technologies. They are able to meet the needs of any organizations interested in the digital transformation of their work processes," said Sergey Trandin, CEO of Basalt SPO.
Basalt SPO has adapted the Alt operating systems to the LoongArch64 architecture. Norsi-Trans has developed domestic computing platforms based on Loongson processors based on its own LoongArch64 architecture.
Sergey Ovchinnikov, CEO of Norsi-Trans, noted that the signing of the agreement gives a new impetus to successful import substitution, regardless of sanctions pressure. At the same time, he stressed that the company has been cooperating with colleagues for a long time.
"Our cooperation provides domestic enterprises with full access to the cycle of AI computing based on efficient technologies, ranging from a hardware platform to specialized software.
