OREANDA-NEWS Roscosmos and the American agency NASA have agreed to extend the joint operation of the International Space Station (ISS). This was announced by Roscosmos CEO Dmitry Bakanov, TASS reports.
According to him, the station will be jointly operated until 2030.
It was previously planned that the ISS would cease operations in 2028, and in 2030 it would be de-orbited.
Bakanov said that a promising Russian space Station (ROS) should start operating in 2030. Its first module is planned to be deployed in orbit in 2028.
