OREANDA-NEWS. September 29, 2016. CEMEX, S.A.B. de C.V. (“CEMEX”) (NYSE: CX) announced today that CEMEX Poland is contributing to the construction of a new power unit in the Turow Power Plant, located in southwest Poland. CEMEX Poland is expected to provide approximately 90,000 cubic meters of concrete for this project. The company has already delivered over 15,000 cubic meters of tailor-made concrete for the foundation of the power station, which required approximately four days (101 hours) of continuous pouring.

CEMEX Poland erected two mobile concrete batch plants with a capacity of 160 cubic meters of concrete per hour to meet the demands of this job. Of the 90,000 cubic meters of concrete that CEMEX is expected to provide for this project, 25,000 cubic meters are required for the foundations of the power station, and 15,000 cubic meters are needed for the construction of the cooling tower.
