OREANDA-NEWS. KAMAZ sold 12986 heavy trucks in the Russian market in the first half of the year, which is more by 20% than in the same period of the previous year and higher than it was planned in the business plan. Another 2117 KAMAZ vehicles are exported.

According to Sergei Afanasyev, KAMAZ Deputy General Director for Sales and Service, these figures were achieved as a result of cooperation with the leading enterprises of the oil and gas, agricultural, chemical industries and the largest transport and logistics companies. In the study – there are new contracts.

KAMAZ continues to hold leading positions in the market of heavy trucks of Russia: the company's share is 51%. The company's revenue in the first half of the year reached 61.9 billion rubles (+ 31%).

Deputy General Director of KAMAZ - Director of Development Irek Gumerov spoke about the results of work on expanding the model range and increasing the share of local components. At a good pace there is the implementation of the project to organize the production of a new family of 6-cylinder in-line engines: in the first half of the year, the assembly of equipment was completed on the new assembly line of the engine plant, the first samples were produced and the first KAMAZ-5490 cars with the P6 engine assembled. In the plans for the second half of the year – there is the production of a pilot production of 200 engines P6. The result of the work will be completely new motors, corresponding to eco-standards «Euro-5» and «Euro-6» and capacity up to 700 hp.
