OREANDA-NEWS. May 18, 2016. The annual award honors companies whose dedication and commitment in supplying products and services meet Texas Instruments’ high standards for excellence. Texas Instruments executives travelled to Portland, Oregon to present the award personally at a May 9 gathering at CH2M’s Portland office.

“At TI, we recognize and value the crucial role that our suppliers play in our daily operations and in the achievement of our goals and priorities,” said Rob Simpson, Vice President of TI Worldwide Procurement and Logistics. “We expect the highest ethical behavior from our suppliers, as well as exceptional performance in the areas of cost, environmental and social responsibility, technology, responsiveness, assurance of supply and quality. CH2M demonstrated outstanding performance in these areas in 2015.”

Recipients of this award are an elite group of suppliers chosen for their exemplary performance in the areas of cost, environmental and social responsibility, technology, responsiveness, assurance of supply, and quality. Since 2002, CH2M has supported TI on many international projects including operations and maintenance services to 130 construction and maintenance subcontractors at 64 different TI design and sales offices across North America.

“For more than a decade CH2M has had the privilege of supporting many TI projects around the world,” said John Palmer, President of CH2M’s Industrial & Advanced Technology group. “These have included industry-leading innovations as well as reliable, year-after-year delivery of optimized operational efficiencies. No matter how the demands of those many projects have varied, we are very proud that excellent performance has remained a constant from one project to the next.”

In 2014 CH2M won a TI Supplier Excellence Award for the North American Region. That award recognized CH2M’s successes in achieving significant savings for TI on new U.S. vendor service agreements, reducing forecasted operations budgets, increasing minority and women-owned business enterprise vendors, coordinating inaugural Earth Week clean-up events, achieving a flawless safety record, and providing space planning and estimating support for 25 lease transactions.
