OREANDA-NEWS. AvtoVAZ plans to start the export of cars to the countries of Central Asia through Kazakhstan, informed "Interfax" by referring to the head of the automaker Nicolas Moore.

"First of all, Kazakhstan is very close to Russia, and 17.5 million people - a significant population. This is a big country; people need cars, both for work and for the family. The first intention – is to be strong in the domestic market of Kazakhstan. The second one – is to use Kazakhstan as a platform for exports to other countries of Central Asia (Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan) and, perhaps, in the countries that are on the other side of the Caspian Sea, for example, in Georgia", - said Mr. Moore.
