OREANDA-NEWS. The Gazprom Headquarters today has hosted a working meeting between Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee and Viktor Kress, Governor of the Tomsk Oblast.

The parties addressed the progress with the Agreement of Cooperation between Gazprom and the Tomsk regional authorities, placing a focus on matters surrounding gasification of the region.

Natural gas penetration in the residential sector of the Tomsk region makes up 5.4 per cent including 6.3 per cent in cities & towns and 3.8 per cent in rural areas. The identical figures throughout Russia average 54, 61 and 36 per cent, respectively.

Over 2006 through 2007 Gazprom plans to invest RUR 280 million to gasify the Tomsk region, including building the Chazhemto automated gas distribution station – town of Kolpashevo gas pipeline to be brought online in 2007.
