OREANDA-NEWS. On March 26, 2007 the experts of the Processing and Project Management Center of IDGC-1 participated in a master class, on the “Controlling and Optimization of Power Company Business Processes”, organized by IDS Scheer, the leader in the business process management sphere, and E.ON, the largest power producing company in Europe, reported the press-centre of  JSC “IDGC of Center and North Caucasus”.
The slogan of the master class was “It is impossible to manage something which can not be measured” and all the speeches were devoted to the optimization of business processes and controlling their key indices.
Dmitriy Aleshin, head of the Process and Project Management Center of JSC “IDGC of Center and North Caucasus”, shared with the master class participants the practices in organizing an efficient business process controlling system based on PPM software: he presented goals, objectives, intermediate results of the project, plans and prospects for the future development of this field in distribution network companies of the IDGC responsibility zone. Among others one of the most important and significant business processes is the cusromer-oriented process of “Technological Connections of the Consumers”.
Reports of the representatives of IDS Scheer Russia on the process-oriented approach in management and controlling as part of the business process management cycle and of E.ON Kerncraft on the application of the process approach at E.ON and business process controlling with the Aris Process Performance Manager (PPM) software were of great interest to the participants.
