OREANDA-NEWS. June 4, 2007.  OJSC CenterTelecom has won a Federal Communications Agency tender for the right to provide universal telecommunications services through payphones in the Kaluga and Moscow regions.
 
According to the terms of the tender, by the end of 2007 CenterTelecom is to set up payphones providing universal communications services in two urban districts and 24 metropolitan regions of the Kaluga Region, as well as in 36 urban districts and 36 metropolitan regions of the Moscow Region. The tariff for local phone calls on the territory of Kaluga Region will be RUR 0.42 per minute and in the Moscow Region RUR 0.6 per minute.
 
Previously, CenterTelecom was acknowledged winner of tenders for the right to provide universal telecommunications services using payphones in the Belgorod, Tula, Smolensk, Tver, Ivanovo, Kostroma and Yaroslav regions. In compliance with the terms of the tenders, CenterTelecom has already started operating in the Belgorod, Smolensk and Tula regional areas.
